Ayame Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") respects the privacy of users of BookBank (the "App") and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require account registration or login.

1-1. Data stored on your device

Reading records (book information, completion dates, prices, etc.) and account information are stored only on your iOS device. They are not automatically sent to our servers.

1-2. When you use the sharing feature

When you use the reading list sharing feature, the shared book information (title, author, cover image URL, price, etc.) and theme color are sent to and stored on a server (Upstash Redis). This information is used solely to display the shared page.

1-3. Book search

The App uses the Rakuten Books API to search for book information. Search keywords are sent to the Rakuten API, but we do not store search history. For how Rakuten handles information, please refer to the Rakuten Group Privacy Policy.

1-4. Billing information

In-app purchases (the Unlimited plan) are processed through Apple's StoreKit. Payment information is never shared with us and is managed entirely by Apple.

2. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We do not sell, lend, or share users' personal information with third parties. However, this does not apply when disclosure is requested in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Data Storage and Deletion

Data on your device is completely erased when you delete the App. If you wish to delete data stored via the sharing feature, please contact us using the contact information below.

4. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Policy as necessary. If there are significant changes, we will provide notice on this page.
